where to go in lightwave to make a game ?
hello, guys where van i go in lightwave, like, what do i have to do in lightwave to make a game .

Hey there Yasmany; I'm not a games person but I think LW can make the assets (objects) needed for a game, however, you need a game engine to use the objects for a game. These a proprietary software that cost a bunch to use. If you are interested in creating a level for a game, there are some free software to allow you to create one for a particular game. you might check with a game company for any available. I can't think of the names off hand but hopefully this little info might help you.:p

If you own Half-Life 2, you get the source SDK, where you can mod Half-Life 2 completely to another game, and you can modify anything (engine, HUD, etc.) But, that requires some ( some) C++ expertise (programming) , compiling, scripting and probably you want to have your own sounds, which also requires a studio with good recording software, a good microphone... AND, making a game takes A LOT of time, they worked with about 80 people on Half-Life 2 for five years, so you'll surely know what to do...

There is a number of ways to approch this, however, I belive that Nemethor sugestion on starting with modding is probably the best idea to get started.
My best advice on where to go looking and hang around will be www.3dbuzz.com . 3dbuzz contains an amazing amount of tutorials for modding games, however there is a lot of VTM's that are quite big in filesize, so an alternative is that you buy Unreal Tournament 2004: Editors choice (Its quite cheap) which contain all the unreal VTM's so all you have to do is to sit down and watch. Then of course there is the game art section on www.cgtalk.com |

From what I've heard, Direct X has some way of importing 3D models from such applications as Lightwave (don't ask me how, this is all I've heard).
