Question New User with question....

I am currently doing a research project on Lightwave and would like anyone
who has had experience using Lightwave to tell me the following:
* What do you find 'easy' about using Lightwave to create 3D images?
* What are any problems that you have had whilst using Lightwave to create
3D images?
* If any, what recommendations would you make to make Lightwave more easy to use for new users?

Am also interested to know how people find the online info. regarding LiteWave - how useful it is to new comers.

Any replies wouldd be appreciated and will bee used for my research.

What do I find easy about modeling in Lightwave? Hummm.......
Well I'v never used anything else. However I know some who have, and they have told me that Lightwave is one of the more difficult to learn, BUT it is also the easyest to use. If that makes any scense. The first time I saw the Lightwave user interface I was able to fine my way around easly. And was able to make basic geometry quickly. I have seen the interface of several other 3D software packages out there, and quite frankly, they made me very glad to return to Lightwave.

Problems? The one really big problem I've had is that if I don't get it right the first go around more often than not, I have to scrap the entire model and start over. That may sound like a major downer, and quite honestly it is! However, the rebuilding generally goes much better than the first time anyway, so that makes me a happy 3D junkie again!

I'm not really sure what I would recommend to make LW easier for the new guy. If one is really committed to living the life of the 3D artist, LW is good as is!

As for finding resources on-line about LightWave. I started with NewTeks web site, looking at others work in the gallery, looked at some of their personal web pages, followed links from there, .. next thing I knew I was in resource nirvana! Most every one I've chatted with, e-mailed etc. has been very helpful!

So that's my story and I'm stick'en to it.
