Default Tree generator

I need a tree generator. I have used Vue5 's plants, but they are huge poly counts. I have seen Sumatra Lite, but the plants here is also big polys... Any suggestions to other programs?

I toyed around with Tree Cage a bit. Work OK but is really old. I haven't tried it with a newer LW version but it's another one to try.

Have you tried the standalone tree druid application?

not to be arrogant or anything, but what are you trying to do, 3D graphics are simply an illusion, there are many workarounds to the "too many poly's" situation, most of the time, using a 2D approach to background trees is the most common ie, sprites, sometimes rendering real 3D trees and using them as a bacdrop is another.
Too often people try to do everything 3D and end up with humongous scene files that are impossible to render. Then there is the Vue infinite solution, import your LW objects into the Vue world and go from there, or vice-versa. Most solutions involve many other applications or plugins. You can create anything but rendering can be a real problem.
