Default My Favorite Toy Challenge -babbel

Hello everybody,

So I know it is a little bit late, but I really want to participate. It's my first 3D competition, and I just tought it would be interesting to participate and I would learn a lot, because I'm a beginner;..
So I had some problems to find a good idea, but I finally got one on thuesday. I had only one day to create this because I'm really busy these weeks...
I got for my birthday a long time ago, a game boy color, and I played hours and hours on it, and in my opinion, it is still one of the best game consol...
It took me about 8 hours (Modelling, texturing, lighting, rendering)
If I more free time I'll continue to work on it...
Thank you for any advices, comments...

Welcome. I think you need to bandsaw some corners and make smoother flat areas.
Good luck!

And here is finally my final render...
I know it is far from the perfection , but it was very funny to make!!
I saw that we had 3 days more time to work on it, so perhaps I'll make some changes...

Background/scene and everything looks good. The materials on the GameBoy itself are looking a little flat, maybe increase the spec some, see if you can't it to pop a little more.

Nice model, and overall, looks quite nice.

I agree with Warlock, some specularity won't hurt; other than that great job
