Default Half-Life2 Texturing: Interesting Article

Hi All,

Just been reading an article on ign.com about HL2. They have a really interesting approach to assigning physical characteristics to game-world items. They can assign attributes such as sound, density and weight to the textures rather than having to add all that stuff via scripts after the objects have been modeled.

Have a read...

A fairly interesting article I thought.

Very interesting. Especially if they actually pull off the full physics engine with such a small hardware requirement.
