Great idea guys... this way the members get more involved in what tutorials get released. I for one vote for the fishbowl one mainly because Im kinda in a phase in my life where Im very much in to photoreal stuff and it feels like this one could be really good.

How about we light a fire and cook/eat the fish - put out the fire with the water in the bowl - divide out the treasure from the chest.

I went for the fishbowl because it sounds like you would have the most diversity in it. Modelling and texturing and lighting sound like they will all need to be well covered.

Same here. Also, since I do a lot of space stuff, I've already seen enough starscape/asteroid tutes to start the learning process (Yay, Betterspace!). Fish, on the other hand, are trickier to find. To make a long story short, I voted for the fish one...

well....i kinda want to vote for a big burning asteroid belting over the sea, but we've already got one churning sea tut here...still it would be interesting to see what kinda burning rock phil would give us.

but i also rather like the idea of little fishies which dart about suddenly...

....i think I am gonna have to go with the big burning ball of rock, even if its simply to satiate my pyromaniac desires....whoah Neddy! big words for a weekend...best go buy some sweeties and find something useful to do with my saturday night

I dont beleave the goldfish will be animated just modeled and surfaced/rendered. Although your more than welcome to animate it if you want to

Well, looks like I'm in the minority here... Although the fish bowl provides diversity in the over all tutorial I think the modeling could be fairly straight forward and HDRI lighting is pretty cool but there are tutes out there already for them So.... I've voted on the slender beauty of the orchid.....
