Angry Yellow Letters

Hello all. My Lightwave seems to have yellow letters set as default. I noticed this as I was trying to input sun distances per the sunset tutorial; I wondered why I couldn't see the distances I was inputting until I highlighted them with my cursor.

Is there a way to change this?

Can you post a screen shot of what you mean?

Is the text background white? Do you have Windows XP?
If so, it might be a problem with having other languages on your PC (XP Problem), but that problem has been solved ever since 7.5.

Here is a picture of the Effects panel which seems normal and is readable.

Here is the SkyTracer panel, unhighlighted. As you can see, the text in the boxes isn't readable -- there's only the faintest trace of yellow.

Finally, here's the same picture with the text highlighted. It's clearly readable, but extremely inconvenient.

I'm running WindowsXP Home on a Pentium 4, 2.0Ghz machine. I'm not sure what you mean by "other languages" but I do have Global IME for Japanese installed on this computer, if that makes a difference.

Also, sorry for the 3 seperate posts, the size limit is 2.0 mb and each one of these screenshots is 1.4 mb using CapturePro. If there's a better way to post screenshots, please let me know.

Any advice would be a majorly appreciated! I'm just getting started in LightWave, so please keep that in mind with your posts.

GrassHopper, this is a known problem with LW7. And yes, having the global IME extensions installed probably has something to do with this...

I notice from the screenshots that you're still running LW7.0. I'd strongly suggest trying to upgrade to 7.5c as I believe that this problem may now have been ironed out.

You'll need to first upgrade to 7.0b, then 7.5c I believe - but the best part is it's free!

This is a known problem when you use LW7.0 with windows XP, well I had the problem too, but as we see LW7.5 is a free upgade and the problems will be solved that way, I also suggest you upgrade to version 7.5
