I was reading about it, and you will need a program to do that.
I will find that and will post here.

I have HDRshop. And I think it can do a lot, but the documentation stinks.

For a perfekt HDRI Image you need a special camera that can turn on the z axis fully 360 degrees (I hope at least one person is going to understand my english :>).

Nice work Ogiva!!
![]() HAZCHEM, question been raised before, do a forum search and you'll find lots of info.. basically its an image that can hold alot more information on brightness etc. than a normal image.. its most often used to light a scene and as scene environment.

Well, if Im not wrong, HDRI have more than RGB information inside pixels, somehow it can bring light information...

You are basically right, a HDR image contains a very big color range ( you can not see this on your monitor, because a monitor is only capable of displaying 24 bit ), so it is very useful for example to lit a scene...or anything else, bacause a good hdr image can mimic the environment (where the image was taken). So for example you wrap a hdr image around your scene switch on radiosity.. and there you go ... You can even turn off the lights in your scene if you want to.
Like sod said (hehe it sounds good ![]() OGIVA : Your picture is nice, but it seems to me, that you have only used a hdri for a reflection map. Try to lit your scene with a hdri too. Last edited by RiGLEY; 21-01-2004 at 02:32 PM. |

I've got a question. An HDRI image is really just an image with 16 bits per channel right?
