Is their a reason why it looks so grainy?
Or is it just the compression/ |

Was just messing about with they minus light percentages! It may be a good idea to turn off shadows if you use them because you get a strange shadow of light if you don't (unless you want this effect), looks like you can get a nice lighting effect using a negative value though, I was messing about with it using my character and got a nice spooky look to him that without the inclusion of negative light looks boring!

I personally liked the grainy render from before....Also waiting for your lamp post and lights to be included

Ok, here is a lighting test. I actually think this is near finished, all im workin on the now is the cliff in the background. Im making a texture map in Photoshop, so the next image should be the finished thing really.
What u guys think ? (and can some1 help me with this horizon fade. Fog, Transparency gradients, whatever....any help would be great) |

Lookin nice man!
Now lets see your interior, I thought you'd done that before your exterior! Being very secrative about it? You should check out the tutorial from last weeks VE, it got what your looking for it I think! |

Cheers
i had to stop the interior because it has big windows, so i needed to get the outside finished so that i could take the exterior scene and load it into the interior scene so that i have a source of light coming throu the windows. One i get this scene done, ill have a few pics of my interior start to develop .....:attn: |

I like the second picture the most. Because of the cold-warm contrast.

It would make a dramatic effect to have the lights on the building casting a lighting area. Also some lights out on the pier would make the shot more believable.
I love the scattered reflection of the water. The way the mountain reflects in the water. I don't like the second pic with the blue, I like the first one. Last edited by Amiridon; 17-11-2005 at 06:58 PM. |
