Ok, decided that the reason the hall was too in yer face was because of the amount of dark stripey bits so I decide to make the dado follow the floor instead of being level, think it looks a bit better now...

Started working on the little girl - Suzie - thats going to be one of the two main characters, not sure if im going to use the detached eyelid system or not at the moment, they're just there so I can get an idea of what she'll look like with eyes...

Decided to keep the body of the old Noogle (2nd main character) from the previous thread and just rework the head instead, a little happier with this one and I can't really be bothered doing another attempt so I'll just try to improve the look with texturing...

Larger render of Suzies room, need to do something to soften the shadows being cast by the shades, cant turn them off as I need them to block the light, might have to use a spotlight array instead of a point light....
Those of you who have shuffled through the models on the Lightwave disc might recognise the horse, modified slightly and turned into a rocking-horse. I might model one myself if I have the time, not sure if there's any point though. |

Lookin good man. I thought you'd be wanting more shadows in the scene with there being a monster thingy in there, for what I get from your work, but then I'm not totally familiar with your story.
The reflection in the mirror loks a bit odd but then that could be the angle. |

Thats what I was talking about with the shadows, its not a spotlight, its a pointlight within a lightshade, will probably have to sub-patch it, but trying to see what I can get away with 1st

ohh, other than that the room is very well modelled, looks very clean, maybe 2 clean. This is a wee girls room after all, lets see some homework jotters and pencils cases on the unit and on the ground, maybe a school back under the bed and a dolls house at the foot of her bed, these would help make the room more personal, as apposed to the showroom feel it has,
Keep it comin  |

Like I said previously, I've still to do all the ornamentation for the whole upper floor, but I'm taking a break from environmental modelling to work on the characters. Dolls house is a good idea though, hadn't thought of that. The room can't be messy as the mother is very strict and wouldn't allow her daughter to make a mess.

I'm not suckig up ya big ditty thing John. A little bit of praise goes a long way.
Really like your Devil, he looks cool as. However i suggest getting a cuddly and maybe a dolls house in your little girls room. I know your doing little things later, so just thought i'd mention it now. Otherwise its looking great.

Anim
Looking good guys....
I've had to re-think my project, so I'm back to my original C4 idea which will keep the Uni staff happy!!!! I'm in week 3 of the new Anim job so there's not been much progress with C4 and the art stuff. Hopefully see all your up-to-date work back at uni.... Louie |

Lil' Suzy's hair is looking a bit flat at the moment - I don't know if this is the look you're going for or not, but maybe the pigtail sections at least could do with a bit more body?
Building modelling is nice and neat though - I like the photo of the grandparents at the top of the stairs. Its a nice touch. |

Thanks for the comments Fallenswordsman - The hair isn't finished yet, just put that there to get an idea of what she'll look like. Not sure if its the best way to go about it but hey ho....
Have been working on Noogles rig today which obviously means its time for Night Fever once again... |
