lol, cheers! I'd agree that it was going quite well if it wasn't for the fact that I''ve only got 12 weeks to model 2 whole characters, do all the morphs for everyone, finish modelling the environment, model an entire new environment, work out the sfx, record the audio, animate 4 minutes worth of story, render, and post production (with another 3 modules worth of coursework on top of that!)... Why do I want to try and make a career out of this again??:headbang:
....ok, rant over - should all come together so long as I stick to a fairly intense schedule. Last edited by KrisYoung1980; 09-02-2006 at 09:15 AM. |

hi Kris, im loving the wee devil. i know this is ur style but it might be nice to see the devil with smaller feet. i always feel with feet that size is makes the charater very clumsey and cumbersome, u would expect a wee cheeky devil like that to be nimble and agile. i'll understand if u dont want to change it, its very much ur style.
I read that ur thing is 4min long, do u not think u might be aiming a bit to high in terms of length and will no doubt sacrafice quality for quantity. 4min of character anim is alot, u have certenly taken the pressure of me, i thought i had alot to worry about with a possible 90-100 sec's  The characters look good and the exterior is comin along great, id hate to see it rushed just to meet such a target. 30sec of quality animation is more valuable than 4min of average animation.. But i really hope u pull it off. Keep up the good work !!! |

Cheers Fraser - In the brief for the project it says that the animation is to be between 2 and 4 minutes in length. While the entire story will take about 4 - 4.5 minutes to play out, I've told John not to expect the entire story to be submitted - obviously if I think I can manage it I will, but if worst comes to worst I'll mock up various stills to tell the rest.
P.S. The feet stay! :p |

lol !
Looking cool. he looks like such a wee cheeky guy, i wouldnt turn my back on him for a sec.... Have u considered giving the character a slight glow, if he is playing the bad guy, like u se in cartoons over each shoulder, it might help make him look mystical, and a red glow, not much would help make him very evil :p Just an idea LOL or give him th devil fork thingy !! cant remeber the name Looking gd ! Keep it comin !! |

thats a good idea, but maybe a bit much for the whole animation, I might try and see what he looks like glowing when he appears and disappears, fading it off after a few secs or so...

This is already looking a lot more rounded than your Bruce Lee animation - the scenery is looking less sparce and the characters look more defined, so it looks like you've come on a long way since then. Great work!
