Default WIP - Female Barbarian

The modeling isn't done, but I started texturing her anyways. Mostly what's left are more weapons, leather straps, metal loop connectors for armaments, things like that. Texturing isn't done, obviously. She isn't rigged yet, no endomorphs, no hair. So still a lot to do. This was inspired by a drawing over on the Wizards website in the Dungeons and Dragons section.

Fantastic character - the chainmail effect is all texture isn't it?

btw - love the avatar. Is this character going to be in a scene with your earlier Conan character?

I haven't thought that far into the future yet, but I was thinking of putting some chains on my recent lion and having him be her companion. Kinda like Beastmaster and his panther.

I got the belt mounted weapons done along with the little metal rings and leather straps that hold it all together. Textured the left armband. Next is the falchion blade, finish the skin, hair, rig.

Excellent work. Just a small crit though - I'm not entirely sure about the big crease in her just below her belly button - with your modelling skills, I can't think that its anything but deliberate that its there, but it just seems to be a distraction (unless its a really nasty scar)

Great texture work though and I love the way her chain vest isn't attached to anything at the bottom - would be fun to watch her run in that! *Sits down and waits for her to start running*

Superb. As Fallenswordsman says, the belly crease seems a little excessive, but apart from that, can't fault it so far.

I agree with the belly crease. The funny thing is, I noticed the same thing right after the render finished and I asked myself why I didn't notice it earlier. I think the angle of the view accentuates the crease even more. Anyways, it's been toned down so it isn't so sharp.

The arms are textured now, and here is the falchion + scabbard.

love this model!! seeing bald women always puts me off though so give the chick some hair quick!!

texturing is very nice and i especially like the leather pads on her legs. Maybe make the falchion blade a tiny bit reflective on an incidence angle, or even just reduce the bump map on an incidence so that you get some variation in the blade texture. It currently looks like it is carved out of stone.
