Not sure if this is the right section

Newbie again, it this possible in lightwave? Continuos lines like in the attached image, or do i have to use some other program. Please if you could explain how to do it. Not sure if I start out in modeler or layout.

Thank you

Default yes

first thing you need photo shop? Next make a black and white gradiant and save it open modeler and make a box "Shift X" hot key. then give it a surface name. "CRTL F3" opens your texture editor find your surface. select it and hit "T" button under transparencey select yor image drop down and load your gradient then swich to light wave and hit"F9" you should get the idea.

Yeah, thirst thing is to buy a program, that costs you about 1000 $ ^^.

You can also try The Gimp (Free) or Paint Shop Pro (Much cheaper than Photoshop).
