By the lights on the building I meant like the pic below:
You see how the lamps and the torches give off a glow. |

Well I like the bottom one best! I like the different light colour that the building gives to the scene opposed to the sunlight as it would be.

Looking very nice there, Fraser. As you say, the textures still need a bit of work, but the modelling is very solid.

Hmmmm... There's something a bit uncomfortable seeming to me being forced to look straight at someone as you sit on they seats, other than that, looking good.
Trying to picture the practical uses for the room though. |

very good point john ! i actually never thought about that.
It is a sorta cinema room, so ppl would be sittin lookin at the screen.....but valid point. A wee design flaw i never thought about :p Cheers  |

Ive been workin on the night shot. Here is a we test render.
I have a question. For the screen, i need it to emit light. should i just add lots of point lights in front of the screen or should i use 1 spot-light and project the image on the screen back into the room ? Let me know what u think  |

Well, your screen looks like a regular projector screen rather than a backlit TV, so I'd have a projection spotlight in the projector itself (add a little volumetric to add to the effect). Then, if you need the screen to emit a little luminosity itself (to simulate the reflected/bounced light) then either add a dim area light or simply give a little luminosity to the screen...
(perhaps .. then again, I could be talking out of my Harris.... ) |
