Default helix tube

I got lightwave yesterday and i need it for my dt work...This is probably the most obvious thing and im just being spazzy....but i been playing around with it for ages and cant make a tube helix, like a slide from an amusement park...if someone could help that would be great!

Under the Create tab there is a button called Helix, click on that and it will create a helix shaped spline. Clone it as many times as you want to get the right length, then merge them (shift+z) into one. Now put that layer as a background layer and make the second layer the foreground layer.
Create a disc with the same diameter as you want the tube to have. place it at the bigining of the spline (where the little dimond is when you select it) and apply the Rail Extrude (under the Multiply tab).
