Hi there everyone, my first time posting something here. Usually post stuff at 3dlinks. But now wanted to know what others thought about my model. Well its my first complex model. I am a noobie. I have also uploaded the model so that everyone can play around with it.

looks a little to hard for me mate - needs to be a little more "organic" looking
get me? Then it would be cool ![]() |

You mean the edges are too sharp, like he has subpatchs with a very thin row of polygons making a hard edge. Also it seems to be made out of flat pieces... not organic. Is that what you mean? Other than that it's pritty good. Usually when people present a wireframe they show it from modeler so you don't have such a dense mesh and you can see how the wireframe looks before Layout freezes it. I'm also wondering if there is really any use in the "1.0" and email, but oh well... every one has their habits. ![]()

For a self-confessed n00b then the model is pretty good. However, Kevin and Kvaalen are right - the model has a little too much of an angular look to it to be truly convincing (although with a few metallic textures, some rivets and panelling this could be turned into quite something else...)

i love the head, if you keep the detailing like the face allover the body that would look so cool

Thanks guys. Well this actually started as a modelling trip and i never even thought i would finish it at first but learned a lot since then. Well now trying out texturing.
And the 1.0 is to remind me that i should try another one,, like 2.0 or something like that. This was done using patch modelling technique and you are right about the thin subpatch. Also no reference is used. Just out of my mind and free flow. Guess i am a better modeller thanks to this. |

yer that dragon looks rly cool. the detail on the head is great, i just agree that some parts of the body dont look organic enough i.e the top of the front legs, the wings and the sides of the torso are looking very flat 2... other than that great work
