Unhappy Surface control disabled????

Hello,

I'm a newbie. I've created this guard shack and I have bands on the doors. For some reason I cannot seem to apply surface colors to these polygons. When I open the surface tool. And try to choose a color it tells me that the control is disabled. What did I do? And how to I fix it?

I'm on a MAC OSX 10.3.2 computer with vers 7.5c running.

Thanks in advance.

Thats a quite common mistake. Actually, what you opened is not the tool to change surface attributes but rather to assign a surface name, try and entering the Surface Editor instead ( Ctrl+F3 on PC, dont know the key shortcut for MAC ). Hope this helps a little.

Cheers

Matt

Hi!!! to change the surface, try to it the (q) key and then type a name for your surface, and change the color, this should work.

'q' will bring up the window to change the surface name, Surface Editor should be used to change color etc.
