Default .dwg Files

Hello everyone,
once again i have a Question about a file format i seem to have some trouble with. Its the .dwg files from a friend that wanted me to make he's model.
I can open this in Illustrator ofcourse but i was wonderin if there is anyway to directly get these files into LW.Since i dont really wanna recreat it any help on this would be very nice......

No, you can't directly import a .dwg file into Lightwave (as far as I know). You can probably convert it directly with something like polytrans or deep exploration (although I'm not certain they both support the file format).

Alternatively, load it into illustrator and try to export as an EPS file. You should then be able to use Lightwave's EPSF importer to read the file in.
