Default very lost and confused

i got into lightwave for developing game models in, everything i have done has been helping me get used to the use of lightwave.

i have two books (LightWave 3D - Visual Quickstart Guide & Essential LightWave 7.5) and have been through them (not in depth just a brows and some exercises)

im not realy reading much useful to me and am looking for books / dedicated online tutorials for game modeling with lightwave before i get too far with my modelling.

for example:

i want to make a human waring some clothes, when this person blows up i might want bits of clothing etc left behind, also i would like at leased one pice of clothing to act like cloth on the person...

so it is important i know how to build my models correctly before i go to far

does anyone know a good place / book(s) to help me out?

ps.. Think ill be looking to get one level and a few chars working in unreal 2004 using Ued3 as a start.
