Default mirror problem

Hi I got a problem or im not doing somthing right when I mirror
well here is a pic of my problem.

maybe you accidentally hit that polygon and turned off subpatch for it?

try selecting that polygon and hit the tab key?

no that's not it... it only seems to heppen when I use smooth shift
and when I try to mirror it blam I get that on evey thing

So is this a subpatched polygon you have here or not? How does the mesh look if you delete that poly as well?

yes it is subpatched and when I delete it, it leaves a hole....

Try deleting any 2-point polygons, if you have any.

and also do you have 4+-point polygons?

when u mirror, hit the 'n to bring up the numeric options and turn off 'merge points'. see if that helps.

I have been spending an enormes amount of time playing with settings etc... and never thought of that it worked like a charm.
(yes im a idiot)

Now I can go back to modeling in piece now that I got that one off my shoulders ( that one was hurting me alot 2) so thank u again and all for ur help.
