Not as such although we will have some new tutorials out soon the new site upgrade will go online next week.

After that we'll be releasing new content.

Hi David,

I really would like to request the Evil GNOME portrait tutorial but lightwave version. It doesn't necessarily has to be the evil gnome, maybe something else, but with more advanced techniques and updated to Lightwave 10? or even 9.6?

Do you have anything similar to it in the planning or making?
If not, I strongly would like to request it.

Thanks David

We're working on new content for LW 10 but at the moment we have 4 people working pretty much 24/7 on the new site.

Re-mastering 300 hours of video and audio is not as fun as it sounds. I've been doing it for so long now I think I've lost the ability to talk to real people.

Please stick with us big changes are on the way.

Hi David,

When you said re-mastering 300 hours of video and audio, you meant re-doing the same projects with updated software version or just cleaning the video image and audio quality?

Thank you.

Cleaning up audio and video. We will be reproducing some of the old content in Lightwave 10 but for a lot of it, well it would be pointless.

The tutorials we won't be updating are the ones that would not seriously benefit from a newer version of Lightwave, sure modeling tools get updated and tweaked but basic principles remain the same. To a large extent basic principles are what our tutorials are about.

New tutorials for lightwave 10 will try to concentrate on the new features and dynamics. The full modeling and texturing projects we already have will translate across the versions just fine. This is basics principles and workflow we're talking about not flashy new tools and features

I feel like a lot of places release the same content for a new version of the software and then charge you again for it. When really apart from a few small things nothing has changed. Sure if you release a new dynamics video updated for version 10 that goes over all the new features this is a good thing, but re-releasing a car modeling tutorial that was done in version 8 and converting it to version 10 would just be to take more money of people that already brought the old version. Also lightwave version 8 training you will follow just fine on version 10 the opposite is not really true. I'd like to support the maximum amount of users for obvious reasons.

Sorry long answer to a short question. Version 10 training is coming but I will only be updating the content we have if it could seriously benefit from the new tools in a later version of the software.

BTW when we do update the content to version 10 or newer if you own the old version you'll get the new one free. No charging everyone again cos NewTek changed the color of the interface.

Thank you Dav
It's all good. However, based on what you said, which makes perfect sense. ))

Looking forward for the new site to be up.

Cheers m8.
