SubPatch question
When subpatch modelling there is always a glitch when there are 5 or more polys meeting at a single point, it makes a little indent that is an eyesore. What, besides staying away from them altogether, is the best way to fix these? Ive tried a lot of things but im not sure. Sometimes they are inevitable and in those cases I would like to be able to smooth them out if possible. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Try using the 'spin quad tool' I think the hotkey is 'ctrl+k'. If you want to find it in Modeler i believe it's under the Detail tab.
You highlight two polys and hit spin quads. This will rotate them. Sometimes you get good results depending on the kind of mesh you have. Other times you have to apply the spin quads more than once to smooth out your mesh afterwards.

OK,,, my advise is put the object in layout and do a test render to see how bad is it? Are you planning for a closeup shot? You might be surprised that you can get away with some of the stars,, i like to call them. There is also the smooth tool besides the all important spin quads.
