Default SUbpatch question

Hello,

Just finished a model in LightWave 7 and it was from the Tut of the coffe mug.

My question is this; Being happy with the model I want to export it for use in Autodesk as well as Bryce, can I export it so that it will retain its smoothness created by the Sub patch after hitting the TAB key?

Or, will I have to add meshsmooth modifiers or other to it in Autodesk?

you can freeze the current resolution by hitting ctrl-d, you might also want to change the SubPatch resulotion, this is done in the options panel, which you access by hitting "o"

I beleave if you want to export it you will have to Freeze the Object first. Under the Construst tab under Convert is the Freeze button this will turn all the Subpatches into Polygons.

Mabye Philip can help you better he has probbly exported stuff before...and take it away Philip....or anyone else who knows the exact answer.

you're welcome MBStudios, that's what we're here for. Hope you enjoy the site.

In modeler hit "o" to bring up the options panel, then adjust your SubPatch resolution, this one will be used when freezing.
