Yo wazzup people!

Another great competition, this i'm gonna complete and hopefully not leave halfway... Anyhoo, I've never modeled anything low-poly so this'll be a new experience for me!

I had Clank from the game Ratchet and Clank. I really love that game! So i'll give a shot at this...

I've got a small ref pic.

I'll post some pics as soon as i have something done...

alright, some work here, about a half hour's worth of work on an arm for Clank... I dont know much about lo-poly modelling so, i'll just be going along asking Questions on the way

At the moment, i've got 170 poly's in the whole arm.

Thanks s2 yea i know, its going pretty fast. But these are just some preliminary stages. Once i'm done this basic model. I'll go around making it look a little better, add a little detail here, tweak it a little there, and so on.

looks cool at the moment, the only thing i can think of doing is bringing the toe out a bit it seems a little flat on the hexigon looking shape on the wireframe image, maybe bring the middle point out. other than that keep it up

Looking good! My only comment really is to watch out for geometry that is serving no purpose. For example, the main box of the body has the edges divided 3 or 4 times, but they're going in a straight line. Something that can be done without the divisions.

You want to make sure every piece of geometry you have is there for some purpose. Does it add detail? Help smooth an edge? Is it needed for proper articulation? That kind of thing.

Hey! I'm done the model!!!! I got the head finished!

Thanks for the comments and crits. I focused on them and:

s2: Yes, the feet did seem a little small compared to the picture. I enlarged them a little...

Puppet: I'm not quite sure what you meant, but i did pull out his toe a little.

mtmckinley: I tried to eliminate some unncessesary triangles, thanks for pointing that out, it was hard to get just the rite ones out, but i'm working toward it...

There still are some areas that i have to fix, which i'll be doing after a bit...

Total triangle count: 2375 (yay! Wooo-hoooo!)
