Sorry guys, I'll have 2 ask these questions in dutch, cause I don't get the Q's in English:

Hi Ank,

Is het een levende bloem en verdrinkt ie in de zee, dus probeert ie te zwemmen?

Wat voor tex had je in gedachte voor de steel?

And how close will U zoom in on the flower?

U can bone the leaves in Modeler with skelegons and attach weightmaps 2 them, U can also choose 4 boning them in Lay-out.

The control is more precize if U use the first method.

I can help U with that if U have no clue how 2 do that.
If U like-U could send the files to me and I'll send them back with skelegons and explanation how 2 use them.

The best way 4 U 4 the future is 2 learn, how 2 do it yourselve.
I can help U with that 2, if U like.

Time is my only constraint as I have 2 fly from friday till wednesday. So thursday would B the first day I can help U.

How realistic does the ocean have 2 B? If it has 2 B very realistic U might have 2 work with Caustics and volumetric texture-animated lights, which have a huge rendertime. If it just needs the illusion it might be a lot easier...

Groeten (regards),

T.

i'll be translating the 2 questions so everyone knows what we are talking about

translation: is it a living flower and is he drowning in the sea ? , so does he try to swim ?

answer : no, i mean't that normally flowers will float on the sea but this one will be sinking to the bottom of the sea, I just want the bones to make an animation that a flower is flying above the sea, goes with the wind, hits the water and sinks to the bottom.

Wat voor tex had je in gedachte voor de steel?

translation: what texture did you had in mind for the green for the flower ?

answer :some sort of nice grass, some with a nice gradient to brighter green....

pretty close just like the shots i made, mostly the flower will be like the shots that he is on the left.

illusion is good enough , well i would like the beams of light go trough the water like in most movies so that the beams of light will hit the flower. and i have no clue if i'm going the right way.

rendertime is nog problem at all it's just an personal project

Thanks for the offer for helping me, but i have no net at my place, i'm currently at my job-traineeship ( stage ) i hope i have internet at my place soon ( i just moved )

somebody showed me once jk-bones with inverse kenetics, i don't know much from it but at least i saw it once, i don't know if you were referring to that ......

tnx in advance anyway

i have a suggestion:
instead of having the flower in straight vertical position, maybe u should make it a little angled so it seems like its gradually sinking.

But nice job with the water and lighting!

tnx shadowfox that is a really good idea i was going to do this only with bones and weightmaps,,, but i'm defenetly going to do you're idea, only one question

does the flower need to be in seperate layers or in 1 for giving the flowers the bones and the petals the cloth sim ...

tnx for the tip Zeeman but i wanted to be it that way, but i don't know much about lightwave, and i never animated an object before so i think it's gonna take a while .

if someone knows a good tut for riggin bones into an object,
or someone who knows how the particle system works pls
add here some comments everything is welcome
