July - noob - Zeeman
Hey! I have holidays so "ahhh, what the heck!" altho i can't really animate stuff, i'm gonna create a fairly simple model, perhaps something long and stringy with eyes. I'll put some pics up soon
oh, i'll be using the 2 metal sound clip Last edited by Zeeman; 02-07-2004 at 01:44 AM. |

well, i guess its back to work! I just doodled out a storyboard. I didn't draw my characters on there but i put an "X marks the spot" where they're supposed to stand in this shot.

here's the main character who's gonna talk. I just used the arms from June's challenge except i just smoothed the muscles out. I had the legs sitting somewhere on my hard drive and the body and eyes is what i whisked up in 20 min. i just forgot to subpatch it. it's a fairly low-poly model.
oh and he does have eye brows and eye lids. can someone suggest how to put a mouth on this guy? |

looking good
as for the mouth you can either do what i did which was to smooth shift a line of pollys inwards and shape it to give the inside of the mouth. or you could make an external mouth with just a pair of lips with this you may have make the teeth hidden until you use the "F" mouth shape. hope you can understand what i mean |

here's what my other character which eats the metal might be like. I created it from scratch in about 15 min. I think i'm gonna leave it like this, perhaps make it just bounce around.

here's a test render that i did. My first attempt to animate and lip movements properly. I think its good by my standards.
But i noe that there's a lot of problems around the shoulders and fingers which can be easily fixed later. Rite now i was focusing on doing the anim. |

I love the feet . I think if you have the right textures and the right render, simply models like the last screenshot usualy turn out awsome .
